Positions Description

The typesetter collects the translated script and the cleaned page scans and combines the two into a comic(Manga, Manhwa, Manhua) chapter with translated dialogue. Typesetting can be done by one person or several, but usually, just one to ensure uniformity. Sometimes typesetting and cleaning are grouped together as editing, done by an editor.

You must have at least a little experience with typesetting. You must have Adobe Photoshop or any other editing app installed on your PC. if you fill these requirements then, you are eligible to become one!

Often simultaneously with the redrawers, the translator works on translating all dialogue and other text from Japanese into their target language. This is generally compiled into a text file and subsequently distributed to the typesetter. Translating is usually done by one person.
A proofreader will examine the draft translation and clean up translation mistakes or fix style problems in some groups. Additional rudimentary edits may be performed by the typesetter(s).

Translators must have a good understanding of Korean/Chinese/Japanese (depends on what you are fluent in and are applying for) as well as English and can translate the text into fluent English. If you can do this, then you’ll be able to join us!

A redrawer is someone who cleans and redraws. They remove text from the pages of the Manga, Manhua, Manhwa, or Webcomic and then redraw the cleaned parts. They Also clean the SFX on the panel of the chapters. [For Manga] They also help to merge double-page spreads by lining up the pages and redrawing the space in between.

To become a redrawer, you must have good experience with redrawing, thus are good with Photoshop or any other editing software. If you fill these requirements, then scroll down and type the bot command to apply!

A proof-reader will examine the draft translation and clean up translation mistakes or fix style problems, or even check for the quality of the chapter. Additional rudimentary edits may be performed by the typesetter(s).

To become a proofreader, you must be proficient in the English Language. Being a Native is preferred.

A raw provider is someone who provides the raws. He/She buys the raws and then, with the help of some tools, apps, scripts, and extensions, Downloads(rips) the pages from the chapter. Most raw providers and denoise the pages and stitch them too.

To be a raw provider, you must have a page.kakao, comic.naver, or some other account that has access to official raw sites. You must also know how to rip pages from these sites in full quality/resolution. A raw provider who can denoise and stitch is most preferred.

A quality checker ensures the quality of the chapter. He/She also checks for mistakes, errors, etc in the Chapter, before it’s ready to be released.

To become a Quality Checker, you must be proficient in all roles, PR, TS, CL/RD.
